The Mediterranean Sea in the Ancients. Was it all desert? Rhetorical question.

Why do I ask this?

Some weeks ago, a fellow gamer asked that question while we were posting artwork of the map. The intention of our first design was to use color in a more temperate way.

We thought having too much color on the map with hundreds of colorful playing pieces was too flashy.  But our graphic artist was triggered! He redesigned all the maps and the result is simply stunning.
