Dear followers and backers,
Welcome to part 2 of our charming little quiz in store for you all. Every week, there will be 4 questions to answer and to submit to us. Three of them will be multiple choice questions about the French Revolution, while the fourth will be a question about the Sound of Drums team.
|
At the end of the Gamefound campaign, all the contestants that answered all 12 questions correctly will be added to a hat. From the hat, ONE lucky winner will be drafted! This citizen will then be honored by the entire community by receiving the Deluxe version of 1793: Patriots & Traitors (regular retail price: €149)! Questions part 2:
1. These well-dressed youths rebelled against the filthy, coarse and radical sans-culottes in the years 1794-1795. They organized themselves into gangs and harassed and attacked former Jacobins. They played an important part in the so-called “White Terror” after the fall of Robespierre…

2. The Committee of Public Safety was set up by the National Convention in April 1793 as an executive “crisis” government. It was to be dissolved when the wars were brought to an end and the counter-revolutions in the countryside were suppressed. Between the summer of 1793 and Thermidor 1794 - during the so-called Terror - the Committee had 12 well-known members…but which of these was never a member?

3. In 1794, the Committee of Public Safety gave the ‘green light’ for the organisation of the world’s very first balloon unit: the French Aerostatic Corps. On campaign, this newly formed unit had three tasks: to spread propaganda, to perform reconnaissance and during a battle signalling the movement of enemy units. Although its actual contribution is still contested, the Aerostatic Corps did take part in one of the most decisive battles of the French Revolutionary wars…do you know which one?

4. The owner of Sound of Drums, Uwe Walentin, already was active in the gaming business from 1993 until 2008.

Only one submission per email address will be accepted.- Citizens that try to use bribes, threats or seduction to get answers, will be considered as ‘suspect’ and will have to justify their conduct in front of the Revolutionary tribunal.
The small letters:The odds of emerging victorious is obviously dependent on the number of participants and the number of correct answers submitted.

We are dedicated to your privacy and therefore we will not use your email address to send promotions or other marketing initiatives we might prepare in the future. The victorious citizen will be announced publicly on our social media channels.

Once the winning contestant has been selected, all emails will be deleted.

Only the email address of the winning contestant will be kept for communication, delivery of the prize etc… By submitting their answers, all citizens automatically agree that their name might be used publicly on our social channels, but only in the case of winning! Sound of Drums reserves the right to adjust and change the content of the contest as he pleases.
